My conceptual art has all been created during my college photography course. All of my themes have been created using the Edexcel ESA Stimulus, by first year being 'Simple and Complex' and my second year being 'Observe, Seek, Challenge'.
'Blossoming Stagnation', a Cyanotype collage exploring the idling of Queer progression. With anti-trans bills being passed in America, combined with the anti-queer protests seen during Pride 2023, the flower bed of comfort once blooming with life swiftly turned to one of erosion and solitude.

'Queer First Love', an installation collage of cyanotype letters, typography and origami, explores the experience of a queer person's first love. This experience usually being drastically different to those in heterosexual relationships. Inscribed with extracts from Emily Dickinson's love letters to Susan Gilbert in the 1800s, combined with imagery of love makes this piece seemingly lovely, but with deeper inspection, the hidden torment is revealed.

'Hope for Queer Marriage', a bouquet of cyanotype and glossy print, origami roses; wrapped in a cyanotype tracing paper quilt, boasting the date 'March 2014', the month of freedom in the UK. Roses, the flower of love, signifying the deep-rooted connections made within relationships, although with their thorns, the beauty of a rose still shines.
'Hope for Queer Marriage', 2024
'A Lust for Likes', a performance piece exploring the distorted self-representation on social media. Created with darkroom prints, dyed with brusho inks and then scanned into a digital copy and printed. All three pieces were put against each other and voted on with stickers of both like icons as well as the original of each individual image, simulating the competition when posting on social media. Each sticker placed has its own story and reasoning generated by the persons own autonomy.

'leave a bullet pin at my door when i go.', a series of 38 individually mounted inkjet prints, 9 being in anaglyph colour. This piece explores the harmful impact of harassment on social media, as it depicts the subject overwhelmed by a mess of post it notes with hate comments swarming their room. It tells the story of descent into despair that ends with a cold empty room. This outcome is paired with interactive-coloured filters that act like a magnifying glass, revealing different images along the way.
